Eyeglasses

Honestly, I was tired of wearing glasses and contact lenses every day—Normally, who wouldn’t? Luckily I came to the visual aids center. But before moving ahead, just like everyone, I wanted to get rid of my glasses so bad I started wearing contact lenses. But after some time, that didn’t work out well for me either. It is because wearing contact lenses is an extreme sport. It would help if you were way more careful than usual, or you might permanently injure your eyes. And you will surely not want that, neither did I. So, after some time, I started wearing glasses again, even when I didn’t want to. Mainly because what choice did I have other than wearing my powered glasses? Luckily, after some time, I heard about different laser surgeries that might help me improve my vision. That means no more powered mirrors. Thus, knowing how badly I wanted to get rid of my glasses, I did a detailed study on the different kinds of laser surgeries offered. And If you are tired of their glasses too, like me. Then the information I gathered will undoubtedly help you to enjoy your improved vision and get rid of your powered glasses.

To begin with, the very first thing I researched was different laser surgeries and which laser surgery is suitable for me. So the first thing you need to do is find a professional and trusted clinic. It is one of the necessities if you want to increase the success rate of your eye surgery. Especially since your eyes are sensitive, you can not risk even a little. It would help if you were more cautious than usual. Even compared to other surgeries, Lasik surgery is easy, quick, and painless; you will need to be very careful in every step you take.

Moving ahead, here are some of the essential points that will help you increase the success rate of your Lasik surgery, I’m sure because it indeed helped me. Thus, remember these points if you are planning to go through Lasik surgery. But before moving ahead, below are some of the reasons that will help you understand why Lasik surgery is best for you to get rid of your powered glasses.

First, the principal reason why I chose Lasik surgery as the solution to my powered glasses was its simple and quick process. Yes, even though it’s laser surgery, the procedure of this surgery is straightforward and fast. When my surgeon explained the procedure to me, I was shocked. And if you need a reason to get Lasik surgery, then this is the best one you can get. To explain further, further are the steps included in the Lasik surgery process. Step 1 in your Lasik surgery is when your doctor numbs your eyes after you comfortably lie down so that you do not feel any pain or hurt throughout your Lasik surgery. Generally, your surgeon will numb your eyes using drops in your eyes. After your eyes are numb, your surgeon will create a corneal flap on the outer layer of your eye. Generally, it is cut and flipped open, just like a book cover. After this step, your surgeon will use a laser known as an excimer laser to reshape your cornea. Your surgeon will take the laser carefully and reshape your cornea very carefully. After this, the corneal flap of your eye is set to its original place. And it is led by your surgeon to heal naturally. It is one of the reasons why you and your eyes must be healthy for Lasik surgery. When you are healthy, your eyes can heal faster and properly.

Furthermore, as your eyes are numb, you will not feel any pain or hurt. However, sometimes, you can feel slight itchiness after your surgery. According to my surgeon, this is normal. But if you think the itching is a lot, you should contact your surgeon first. Luckily  I did not face any such type of issues. It might be primarily because of the precautions I took before my surgery and precautions I took to keep all kinds of infections away from my eyes.

Other than that, the eligibility criteria are another reason Lasik surgery is best for you. The eligibility criteria for Lasik surgery help you in choosing the right time for your Lasik surgery. Furthermore, your eligibility plays a vital role in the success rate of your Lasik surgery. For example, your success rate will be low if you go through Lasik surgery when you are under age as required as Lasik surgery, mainly because you are at a developing age when you are under age. It is the time when your eyes are constantly developing. Thus it would help if you went through Lasik surgery within the required period. Even I went through Lasik surgery after I turned 21.

Things that you can avoid after your Lasik surgery. It would help if you avoided certain things that can cause a lot of pressure on your eyes. It is hazardous for you to pressurize your eyes too much just after your surgery. For starters, you can avoid swimming after your Lasik surgery. Now compared to your average time, your eyes become more sensitive. Thus, avoiding swimming is the best gift you can give your eyes after Lasik surgery; I also recommend you prevent water bodies such as lakes, rivers, hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pools. However, if you are someone who can not live without swimming, then it is advised you to wear glasses while swimming. So that your eyes are safe from germs, ask your doctor before you start swimming, mainly because your surgeon can explain to you perfectly when you can begin swimming according to your eye condition. Including other activities, such as exercising, is also something you need to avoid for faster healing.
